Return & Refund Policy
Live Plants & Grown Items (Non-Returnable)
Live plants, microgreens, and other grown items — including but not limited to seedlings, plugs, houseplants, and vegetables — are non-refundable and non-returnable. If your plant order arrives damaged or in poor condition, we'll issue store credit after you submit clear photos and/or an unboxing video within 48 hours of delivery or pickup.

Tip: Please open your package immediately upon arrival. Plants are perishable and require prompt care.
Weather note: Cold or heat damage may occur in extreme temperatures. We recommend adding weather protection (e.g., heat or cool packs when offered). Claims related to weather exposure may be denied if appropriate protection was not selected at checkout.
All Other Eligible Items (Non-Perishable)
We have a 7-day return window for eligible, non-perishable items. To be eligible, items must be unused, in the same condition received, with original packaging and proof of purchase.
- Start a return: Email store@shadowmerefarm.com first. Returns made without prior approval will not be accepted.
- How to return: Once your return is approved, we'll arrange a return at your next scheduled delivery or pickup. We'll provide instructions on how and where to return your item.
- Condition checks: Items will be inspected upon receipt.
Case-by-case exceptions: We do our best to help. If your situation falls outside these rules, contact us and we'll review it individually.
Damages, Defects, or Wrong Item
Please inspect your order upon delivery or pickup and contact us right away if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can make it right.
- Plants & grown items: Submit a photo or video within 48 hours for store credit if approved.
- Other items: We'll arrange a replacement, exchange, or refund based on the item type and condition.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
- Perishables (plants, microgreens, produce, food items)
- Custom or personalized products
- Personal care goods
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- Sale items and gift cards
Exchanges
For non-perishable items, the fastest way to get what you want is to start a return (if approved) and place a new order for the replacement item.
Refunds & Store Credit Timing
- Plants & grown items: If your claim is approved, we issue store credit (gift card) for the affected item(s).
- Other items: If a return is approved and passes inspection, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.
- If it's been more than 7 business days since your refund approval and you haven't received funds, please contact us at store@shadowmerefarm.com.
